Stuart began his work in television by volunteering for work
for various Grenada programs in Manchester, such as Coronation Street and Stars in Their Eyes Kids. At the time,
Stuart was still working in the building trade. He was quite busy, between his ‘real’ job and what he was trying
to break into at the time.
His hard work and determination impressed Karl Beattie and his
cousin, Yvette Fielding, who were setting up Antix Productions at the time. He joined Antix Productions as the Lighting Rigger
for the new series, Most Haunted, going on location with the team to learn the ropes in television production further.
He continued to do work at Grenada at the same time, soaking up all he could learn about the industry. Eventually, he had
to leave the building trade to devote all of his time to his new career.
He dove into his work as the Lighting Rigger for Most Haunted,
by purchasing an entire lighting kit to hone his skills. As he was also interested in camera work, he spent most of his free
time practicing with television cameras around Manchester. You may have even seen him at the Manchester Airport Viewing Park,
filming take offs and landings.
This constant determination to do the best work he could continued
to catch the eye of people at Antix. He now is the Lighting Cameraman for Most Haunted and other Antix projects.
While on a trip to America in his first year of working
with Antix, Stuart met his wife, Terri. They eventually settled in Manchester, where Stuart enjoys working on his house and
absorbing up anything to do with flight. He would like to one day resume flying lessons and get his pilot’s license.
